Barbara was a great Greeter and made us feel very comfortable. We were taken around Nuremberg to areas we wouldnt have otherwise found (and also the main sites) and had some interesting facts to accommodate. She even kindly helped us find a lovely restaurant for dinner and introduced us to the famous Gingerbread! We will be happy to recommend to anyone 😊
Thank you

The city tour with Susanne and Holger, which was perfectly tailored to our needs, delighted us all. Our many questions were answered promptly and the two of them had lots of insider tips about Nuremberg for us. Many thanks to you all.
We will be happy to recommend you to others and will certainly use you again on our next city tour.
Best regards

Dear Holger,
Thank you very much for the great city tour. We really enjoyed it. We felt we were in really good hands with you. Your detailed explanations and personal anecdotes gave us an understanding of Nuremberg. We plan to recommend it to many others from our association “we integrate e.V.”.

Thank you very much for the interesting tour yesterday. We really enjoyed it. It made us want to make a longer, private visit.

Monika and Paul were terrific and a highlight of our visit to Nuremberg. Our pre-meeting communication was clear and responsive, so we had no trouble meeting them on the street. They had a plan for our tour but adapted it to our interests. Monica had a folder of historical photos to compare with the present day and plenty of interesting anecdotes about the city. They gave us tips on further things to do and see but above all we enjoyed getting to know them. Their enthusiasm and warmth for the city radiated from them and enthused us. Not only did we learn about historical events in Nuremberg we also learned about the current politics and challenges facing Germany today. Thank you, Greeters.

We spent a wonderful afternoon in Nürnberg with Barbara. Barbara is incredibly warm and welcoming, and she made every effort to share with us all the stories about the city, from the medieval period to modern times, covering everything from scenery to cuisine. She patiently answered all of our questions and even introduced us to the famous "3 im Weckla"! Her helpfulness and kindness earned our respect, and she also gave us valuable advice for our future travels. We feel that thanks to Barbara’s introduction, we’ve come to love Nürnberg even more! We’re looking forward to visiting again in a few months to experience the Christmas atmosphere. Thanks again to Barbara for your efforts in making this guide so special – it will be a memory we won’t forget!😊
Thank you very much.

"As part of a family reunion, Antje and Siggi picked us up from the Cloud One Hotel on the morning of October 5, 2024 for a guided tour of the old town. We were a Berlin family with two teenage children. For all of us, Nuremberg had previously been little more than a black spot on the map. That has now changed! (Among other things, we found out that the current "King of Bavaria" lives and works there). I liked Siggi's calm, unpretentious, knowledgeable and humorous manner.
He often interjected a historical digression in response to our unqualified questions and shouts and illustrated it with a suitable photo, map or illustration on the tablet he had brought with him. In view of Luis (17) aching feet, Siggi was flexible enough, that he was able to buy new sneakers in between and rejoin the tour later. The tour was full of knowledge and detail
but never seemed dusty or academic. I really like the idea of exploring a city in a small group in direct contact with a local and of course being able to chat about personal things. Thank you very much for that, it was a good thing!"

“We had a wonderful day in Nuremberg with the greeters Astrid and Axel. My two sisters and I went on a short trip to the Franconian metropolis and, thanks to the perfect tour, got a good insight into the city, an overview of its history and learned many surprising details. It was so pleasant to stroll through the streets, have a lively chat and learn so much about Nuremberg along the way. This day has made us even more curious about Nuremberg - we will be back and will be happy to let the greeters take us even deeper into Nuremberg's beauties. Many thanks from Heidrun, Dörte and Ute”

We had a wonderful day with Alexa. Initially, we had planned to meet with bikes in front of our accommodation at 10.00 a.m. and I was very much inclined to cancel the meeting because we had to experience a heavy thunderstorm with lightning and thunder that day. However, Alexa beat us to it and offered to postpone the tour by an hour and take a guided tour of the city instead of cycling along the Pegnitz. We agreed and Alexa had brought two umbrellas for us to be on the safe side, but we didn't need them after all. She led us through the old town past many different ancient buildings and churches and was able to tell us something historical about each building. I've already forgotten the details, but this day with Alexa remains an unforgettable day for me and my husband Fritz. In addition to the sightseeing, we also talked about very personal things and therefore felt very comfortable with our greeter. To round things off, we discovered a small organic food store with lunch, coffee and cake by chance at the end of our tour and had a delicious meal and drink there. We ended our wonderful day with Alexa in a relaxed atmosphere with further personal conversations and would of course like to thank everyone at this great organization for this fantastic effort for people who were complete strangers for the first time. Kind regards from Fritz and Regina

In addition to the many impressions, the serenity of the city remains in my memory.
Despite the high season, there was never a feeling of crowds.
We visited the Dürer House in the afternoon and on Sunday we had time for a tour of the Railway Museum, the Street of Human Rights and the Gerhard Richter paintings in the Neues Museum.
Nowhere hectic.
A bit like a big quiet animal with a few birds running around on it.
We would like to repeat this in the not too distant future and hope to see you again.
Thank you very much for the wonderful hours, you are doing a great job.

Hello Susanne, hello Holger,
we wanted to thank you once again for the great and above all very informative afternoon; we got so many tips from you that we - and especially Charlotte - want to try out soon.
We changed our plans at short notice and went to Kaspar Schmauser (very, very tasty) and for dessert we had an ice cream from the ice cream parlor behind the Lorenzkirche (a dream....)
We wish you a nice evening; best regards

We had a great time with Astrid and Siggi. They guided us around the city and told us a lot about the history and culture of Nurmburg, which we really appreciated. It’s rather nice, responsible and knowledgeable of them.
Thank you very much.

We got a great insight away from the usual tourist routes. Claudia chose the route very well and we were always in the shade despite the heat. It was very entertaining and we had a good time. From us 6 out of 5 stars. Thank you very much, keep up the good work!

"Our greeter Brigitte took a lot of time for us and we learned interesting stories about the city, but also about the people who live here. Despite the high temperatures, it was an entertaining walk through a beautiful city."
Thank you so much, Brigitte and Astrid, for making the greet such a success!

Dear Barbara, dear Manfred, thank you once again for this interesting and entertaining walk through your beautiful Nuremberg!
I really enjoyed it.
It was also nice that we were able to exchange ideas as Greeters. And maybe we'll be meeting again soon:

You are cordially invited!

We really enjoyed the tour, it was like walking through Nuremberg with friends. Monika drew our attention to interesting things and showed us many beautiful places in Nuremberg.
It is highly recommended. We saw a lot, walked a lot, but also had a coffee break together.
Best wishes from Michelstadt!

That's what I call spontaneous - four days before our short trip to Nuremberg, we contacted the Greeters and actually received a personal confirmation for our desired date for a walk very promptly. We spent a few entertaining hours with Siggi and Astrid, setting off from our hotel in the best weather towards the old town and discovering Nuremberg with a smile: from the explanations of the Meistersinger and Albrecht Dürer, to the Schöner Brunnen (where we successfully found the golden and black rotating ring), to the Kaiserburg, the Henkersteg, the Ehekarussel and the opera house. We can only pass on the tip for our dinner at the Heilig-Geist-Spital - it's worth it. We will definitely be back. Many thanks for the time and the stories and best wishes from Hanover."

"Astrid and Siggi showed us (a small group of AugsburgGreeters) their favorite places in the old town on an extended walk in midsummer temperatures and told us exciting stories about buildings, fountains and residents. We had an enjoyable time together, including a refreshment of the legendary Nuremberg bratwurst, cool drinks and a lively exchange about our Greeter experiences. Thank you very much - we would love to come back."

We thought the walk was great! Our wish to get to know the old town was wonderfully fulfilled from start to finish.
Being picked up directly at the hotel saved us having to search for a starting point and the originally agreed 2 hours turned into 4 hours without us even realizing it that we realized it were 4 hours.
The time flew by. Holger and Susanne always had exciting stories and funny anecdotes to tell.
We would hire the Nürnberg-Greeters again and again and will gladly recommend you to others.

The two super nice greeters Astrid and Siggi agreed to show us the city and some special places at very short notice. Thanks again for that!
We had a great afternoon despite the bad weather and learned a lot of interesting facts about the city from a local's perspective (historical, culinary and much more).
We will gladly contact the Greeter again for other city trips!!!

We are 6 friends who go on a city trip once a year. This time the journey went to your beautiful Nuremberg. With our greeters Astrid and Siggi we experienced an interesting, expert and cheerfully humorous three-hour tour of Nuremberg. We really liked it. Thank you. Kind regards from Dusseldorf and Essen

It was a pleasure to meet Alexa and have her give an overview of this charming city. She was full of interesting information and pointed out some great food choices, as well as a lot of Nuremberg's history. We both had a great afternoon along with a tour finishing ice cream.
