What our guests have said
We had a great tour with Wolfram and Siggi. Even though we have been to Nuremberg many times before, we discovered lots of new places and learned a lot about the city. Highly recommended! A relaxed, individual and very personal walk with friendly Greeters.
Thank you very much!

Dear Barbara, dear Manfred,
We had a wonderful time with you in Nuremberg. You showed us places we didn't know and gave us lots of information about your home town. We also got to know and appreciate you as people. The time flew by and we were able to round off these lovely hours with coffee and cake. Nuremberg and you have made us want to come back for more, and we will be returning soon.
Warm regards and best wishes for a healthy and peaceful 2026 to you and all the Greeters.

Dear Astrid, dear Siggi,

We wish you lots of Greets and a happy New Year!!!

We would like to thank Marcus from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful and unforgettable morning we spent together in Nuremberg. It was much more than a tourist route; it was like getting to know friends, an experience full of details that we would not have been able to experience in any other way.
Marcus, your passion for Nuremberg is contagious, your friendliness delighted us, as did your perfect Spanish.
We felt welcome from the very first moment – even before we met, thanks to your help.
Many thanks also to Nuremberg Greeters for making such human and authentic encounters possible. This is undoubtedly a highly recommended way to get to know the city in an original and different way.
We will cherish this day and you in our memories.

We returned to Nuremberg from Würzburg after almost 40 years. In 1981, we lived in this beautiful city for five years. Siggi and Brigitte took us on a wonderful tour of the old town, reacquainting us with familiar sights as well as introducing us to completely new ones.
The city has changed immensely, of course, and our two Greeters conveyed these changes to us in a very interesting way. Our three hours flew by, and we both agree: we must come back soon to take it all in again and discover a few new things. Dear Brigitte, dear Siggi, once again, a big thank you for your time and for helping us rediscover ‘our’ city.

Our Greeters were wonderful tour guides. We are a group learning German, and Brigitte, Axel, Alexander, Astrid and Siggi gave us all a very warm welcome. We learned a lot about beautiful Nuremberg, its history, culture and traditions, and also improved our German considerably!
Many thanks to everyone and best regards from Somerset!

Our greeters Alexa and Jürgen were absolutely fantastic – the perfect team for our three-hour tour of Nuremberg's old town. They struck a great balance between imparting history, answering questions and pointing out hidden surprises that we would never have discovered on our own.
One of the highlights was learning the true meaning behind a row of columns that at first glance looked like nothing more than a simple row of columns. Alexa and Jürgen explained to us that it was actually the ‘Street of Human Rights’, an impressive sculpture installation in which each column is engraved with an article from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in German and another language. Once we understood the purpose, the whole place took on a much deeper meaning.
They also took us to a wonderful local treasure – the Lebkuchenbruch bakery. The shop owner told us the story behind the bakery, which made the visit even more memorable. An absolute must for anyone visiting the area.
Overall, our experience with the Nuremberg Greeters was warm, insightful and truly enriching. Alexa and Jürgen made our time in Nuremberg unforgettable, and we highly recommend this experience.
Thank you again, it was truly a wonderful experience.
Thank you very much!

We had a fabulous 5 hours with Franziska and Siggi! They gave us a wonderful walking tour around the city and up to the castle sharing lots of history along the way. We also enjoyed a stop at a café for tea and a treat!

As proud residents of Fürth, we wanted to stroll through the trendy GoHo district and get to know it better. We had heard and read many interesting things about it, and since we had already been on Greeter tours in Munich and Bremerhaven, it was an easy decision to choose who could show us the district in a very personal way and tell us all about it. Despite the freezing cold, Ruth and Wolfram told us a lot, showed us around and spread good cheer. At Rochus Cemetery, Harry discovered a highlight – the Schäuferle epitaph – which the Greeters only knew about from the newspaper. This meant we were able to contribute a new point of interest for future Greets.
All in all, we had a very nice, albeit very frosty afternoon. We learned a lot of new things and will definitely use the Greeters more often – it's a great thing.
It was just a shame that our final stop, the GoHo Christmas market, was closed that Sunday – Remembrance Sunday. But our two Greeters had of course reacted immediately in advance and reserved a place at Cafe`Regina, where we could warm up and enjoy a cup of coffee or two while having good conversations.
Thank you very much and maybe we'll see you again at another district Greet in Nuremberg.

While preparing for our weekend in Nuremberg, I came across the Greeters during my internet research. It was a truly happy coincidence, because that's how we got to know Holger and Susanne, who showed us around their city. It was a wonderful day, during which we were able to explore Nuremberg at our own pace, receiving friendly advice and expert information from our two Greeters. Enriched by so much information, our stay in Nuremberg was a real highlight! A thousand thanks to the two of them.

Astrid and Marcus were wonderful guides. I learned so much about Nuremberg and its history and culture. And, yes, they made me want to come back to visit more of the sights!

Marcos, our first visitor from Brazil, had a lot of fun with the numerous photo opportunities and was accompanied by our greeter Jürgen.
